Giang is from Denver, Colorado, where her passion for sustainability has inspired her to create opportunities for others to learn, grow, and thrive. As president of her school’s Garden Club, she transformed a small tree-planting project into a larger movement. After repeated funding setbacks threatened plans to restore her school’s greenhouse, she persisted, leading efforts that ultimately secured $50,000 in funding and expanded hands-on environmental learning opportunities for future students. Beyond her work in sustainability, Giang has advocated for youth through substance misuse and mental health initiatives while serving as a dependable source of support for her immigrant family, helping them navigate everything from insurance claims to government paperwork. Her determination to turn ideas into action is matched by a belief that leadership is measured by what we leave behind for others, not by personal recognition. Giang will attend the University of Colorado Boulder, where she hopes to continue advancing sustainable solutions while creating greater access to educational opportunities for her community. Through quiet persistence and a deep commitment to service, she is building a legacy that will empower others long after her own work is complete.
