Jaylyn is from Chicago, where growing up as the only girl in an immigrant family taught her resilience, responsibility, and the determination to challenge expectations. As the first in her family to attend college, she discovered through sports and student leadership that her voice could inspire others and create meaningful change. Although she once planned to become a doctor, she realized that one of the greatest challenges facing her community is financial literacy, leading her to pursue economics at Pomona College with the goal of becoming a financial advisor. A four-year Student Council representative, senior council member, varsity soccer captain, varsity dance captain, hospital intern, and leader of the Snowball Club, Jaylyn has consistently stepped forward to mentor younger students and strengthen her school community. Her coaches and mentors describe her as relentlessly hardworking, dependable, and someone who naturally elevates the people around her. Jaylyn hopes to help families break generational cycles of financial insecurity through education and opportunity, and there is little doubt she will bring the same energy, compassion, and leadership to every community she serves.
