Madelyn is from Northglenn, Colorado, where an early lesson from her mother about sharing with those in need inspired a lifelong commitment to service and justice. Determined to create meaningful change, she organized a schoolwide donation drive that collected more than 200 essential items for homeless shelters across the Denver metro area while encouraging her peers to become more involved in their community. Her passion for advocacy continued through a four-year internship with the Adams County Court, where she observed high-profile criminal trials, collaborated with attorneys, and supported initiatives promoting equity within the legal system. As Co-Director of her school’s Peer Mentorship Program and a volunteer tax preparer and Vietnamese translator, Madelyn also dedicated herself to expanding access to resources for those who might otherwise go without. She plans to attend the University of Colorado Boulder before pursuing a career as a criminal district attorney, where she hopes to balance accountability with compassion by championing both justice and rehabilitation. Guided by empathy and a deep sense of purpose, Madelyn is committed to using the law as a tool to create opportunity, strengthen communities, and advocate for those whose voices are too often unheard.
