Empowering young women in STEM and advocating for mentorship
Nicole is from Niles, Illinois, where her lifelong fascination with aviation inspired her to pursue a dream that initially felt out of reach. As the only aviation enthusiast in her family, she had to create her own path by researching opportunities, seeking mentors, attending aviation programs, and immersing herself in the field. Determined to make her goals a reality, Nicole worked part-time throughout high school to save for flight training, taking ownership of the journey toward earning her pilot certifications. Her experiences finding community through programs like EAA GirlVenture Camp and Women in Aviation International inspired her to one day mentor young women pursuing careers in aviation and ensure they feel supported in reaching their goals. Nicole’s dedication to aviation is matched by her commitment to her Polish American heritage, where years of cultural involvement have taught her the importance of resilience, community, and honoring one’s roots. She will attend Purdue University to study professional flight, where she will continue developing the skills needed to become a commercial pilot and expand opportunities for future aviators.
